- United Way of Northwest Indiana receives EFSP grant to meet urgent needs in Jasper, Lake, Porter or Starke counties and the city of Gary The United Way of Northwest Indiana will administer more than $348,000 from the Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to support local food pantries, homeless shelters and organizations that provide basic needs services.
- Four United Ways in Indiana have received FSSA grants totaling $2,266,505 to facilitate improved childcare access and quality Two local United Ways (United Way of Greater Cincinnati: Southeastern IN Office, United Way serving Howard & Tipton Counties) have been awarded grants totaling $918,579 from the second round of funding from the FSSA Employer-Sponsored Child Care Fund. Added to round one grants (United Way of Central Indiana, United Way of Marshall County), total amount awarded is $2,266,505.
- Indiana United Ways to Award $80 million for Capital Projects The Statewide Capital Projects Initiative is an initiative that will infuse capital funds into real estate spaces for Indiana counties served by Indiana United Ways’ (IUW) local United Way members. The purpose of this initiative is to increase the availability and quality of essential health and human services in all communities. Supported by Lilly Endowment Inc, the Statewide Capital Projects Initiative will distribute $80 million in the form of matching capital grants for these real estate needs.
- Six United Ways in Indiana receive nearly $2 million in Early Learning Indiana grants in support of work to promote the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical wellbeing of infants and toddlers from low-income families in first round of grants from the Early Years Initiative.
