United Ways Active in Disaster
Local United Ways across Indiana coordinate disaster response in their communities. They identify urgent needs, work with local and state partners to provide immediate help, raise funds for relief and long-term recovery, and support all those involved. United is the Way we come together when disaster strikes.
Access Direct Assistance
Reach out to American Red Cross (1-800-REDCROSS) or call Indiana 211 by dialing 211 or texting IN211HELP to 898-211, the state’s health and human services helpline, to report disaster damages or report immediate needs. Indiana 211 can provide connections for shelter, transportation, food, and other disaster related resources.
All IUW Indiana Natural Disaster Fund support goes through local recovery groups.
